The Family Behind the Practice
For over a decade, Dr. Lexie Kremenezky has devoted her career to helping pets and the people who love them. As the founder of Homeward Hearts, she provides gentle, in-home euthanasia services designed to give beloved companions a peaceful, dignified passing in the comfort of their own surroundings.
A lifelong animal lover and devoted pet parent herself — to two dogs, two cats, five goats, and a llama — Dr. Kremenezky understands how deeply our pets become part of our families. Her calm, compassionate approach helps ease the stress and anxiety that often accompany end-of-life decisions, offering both pets and their people a sense of peace and closure.
With over ten years in veterinary practice and certification in peaceful end-of-life care (CPEV), Dr. Kremenezky is honored to help families say goodbye in a way that feels gentle, loving, and respectful — at home, surrounded by love.

In her free time, Dr. K and her husband, Brandon, love to travel internationally and saltwater fish in Galveston—or anywhere along the coast!
Brandon serves as the Manager and Care Coordinator for our practice, providing compassionate support to families from their very first call. He helps coordinate scheduling, answers questions about our services, and assists families in navigating the logistics of arranging in-home euthanasia care.
Understanding that every family's situation is unique, Brandon strives to provide clear communication, kindness, and reassurance during a difficult time. He is available to answer general questions, explain the process, and help families understand what to expect. When a more in-depth discussion regarding a pet's quality of life or medical condition is needed, he connects families with Dr. K for individualized discussions regarding their pet's quality of life and care needs.
As part of our family-owned practice, Brandon is committed to helping create a smooth, supportive experience for every client. His goal is to ensure that families feel heard, informed, and cared for throughout their pet's end-of-life journey.
